평화—의의 일
PEACE—THE WORK OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
이와 같이 너희 빛을 사람들 앞에 비추어 그들이 너희의 선한 행위를 보고 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하라 (마태복음 5:16).
이사야 32:17은 말씀합니다, “의의 일은 화평이 되며 의의 결과는 영원토록 평온함과 확신이 되리로다.” 우리는 그리스도 예수님 안에서 하나님의 의입니다 (고린도후서 5:21). 그러므로, 성경이 평안이 되는 의의 일에 관하여 말씀할 때, 그것은 당신이 당신의 본성의 결과로써 생산해야 하는 것을 당신에게 말씀하고 있는 것입니다, 당신의 일은 평화를 세우는 것입니다.

우리의 하나님께서는 평화의 하나님이십니다. 그러므로, 나라들 가운데 평화는 그분의 뜻입니다. 주 예수님께서 요한복음 14:27에서 말씀하셨습니다, “내가 너희에게 평안을 남기노니 곧 나의 평안을 너희에게 주노라....” 세상은 오늘날 이것—오직 예수님께서 주시는 평화—을 얼마나 필요로 하는지요. 우리는 기도, 복음의 전파와, 의의 우리의 일들을 통해 다른 사람들과 나라들이 이 특출한 평화의 삶을 경험하도록 돕는 자들입니다.
디모데전서 2:1-2은 말씀합니다, “그러므로 내가 권면하노니 무엇보다 먼저 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 중보와 감사를 드리되 왕들과 권위를 가진 모든 사람을 위하여 하라. 이것은 우리가 전적으로 하나님을 따르며 정직한 가운데 조용하고 평화로운 삶을 살고자 함이라.” 바로 그것입니다! 우리가 모든 사람들을 위해 기도할 때, 우리가 의의 일들을 수행할 때, 형통, 탁월함, 보전과 안식을 위한 특출한 은혜와 함께 하는 평화가 나라들과 사람들의 심령들을 감쌀 것입니다. 그래서 오늘날의 세상에 있는 혼란, 고통과 문제들에는 차이가 없습니다, 당신의 도시와 나라를 위해 평화, 건강과 형통을 명하십시오.

PEACE—THE WORK OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
Isaiah 32:17 says, "And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever." We’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). So, when the Bible talks about the work of righteousness being peace, it’s telling you what you must produce as a result of your nature: your work is to establish peace.
The word “peace” is from the Hebrew “shalom” and it refers to the totality of the human welfare—health, prosperity, etc. So, your work is to produce health, prosperity, and peace. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus in John 9:5. He said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
He didn’t say those things just to distinguish Himself alone; He said it so we would know to speak accordingly. You’re the bearer of His peace. Places where there had been war, bloodshed, hostilities, and wanton destruction of lives and properties can have peace when you show up; darkness is dispelled and the righteousness of God is established. Hallelujah!
Our God is the God of peace. Therefore, peace in the nations is His will. The Lord Jesus said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you….” How the world needs this today—the peace that only Jesus gives. We’re the ones to help others and the nations experience this extraordinary life of peace through prayer, the preaching of the Gospel, and our works of righteousness.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 says, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” That’s it! Peace with extraordinary grace for prosperity, excellence, preservation and rest will mantle the nations and hearts of men as we pray for all men, as we carry out the works of righteousness. So it makes no difference the turmoil, distress and troubles in today’s world; decree peace, health and prosperity for your city and nation.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I’m the expression of your will and nature of righteousness, and I enforce your peace, health, and prosperity wherever I go. I decree peace over my city and nation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
