우리는 그분과 같습니다
WE ARE LIKE HIM
이 점에서 우리의 사랑이 완전하게 되었나니 이것은 우리가 심판 날에 담대함을 가지게 하려 함이라. 이는 그분께서 어떠하신 것 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하기 때문이니라 (요한일서 4:17).
당신이 그리스도를 영접했을 때, 당신은 그분의 생명과 본성을 받았고 그분과 같이 되었습니다. 요한일서 3:1은 이 진리를 한층 더 나아가 설명합니다. 그 구절은 말씀합니다, “보라, 아버지께서 어떠한 사랑을 우리에게 베푸사 우리가 하나님의 아들들이라 불리게 하셨는가. 그런즉 세상이 우리를 알지 못함은 세상이 그분을 알지 못하였기 때문이라.”
우리는 그분의 후손이며, 혈통으로나, 육신의 뜻으로나, 사람의 뜻으로 나지 아니하고 오직 하나님에게서 태어났습니다 (요한복음 1:12-13). 그것에 관하여 생각해 보십시오, 만약 당신이 하나님에게서 태어났다면, 무엇이 당신을 만들었을까요? 신성입니다! 그분이 시편 기자를 통해, “내가 말하기를, 너희는 신들이라. 너희는 다 지극히 높으신 이의 아이들이라, 하였으나” (시편 82:6) 라고 말씀하셨던 것은 놀랄 일이 아닙니다.
주 예수님께서, “...너희는 율법에, 내가 말하기를, 너희는 신들이라, 하였노라, 하고 기록되지 아니하였느냐?” (요한복음 10:34) 라고 말씀하셨을 때 그분은 이 진리를 반복하셨습니다. 세상 사람들은, 마치 그들이 예수님께서 오셨을 때 그분을 인정하지 않았던 것처럼, 우리를 인정하지 않을 수도 있습니다. 그러나 오늘, 신성한 계시를 통해, 우리의 눈은 그에 합당하게 걷도록 이 진리에 열렸습니다.
성경은 말씀합니다 “사랑하는 자들아, 이제 우리는 하나님의 아들들이니라. 우리가 앞으로 어떻게 될지는 아직 나타나지 아니하였으되 그분께서 나타나시면 우리가 그분과 같게 될 줄 아노니 이는 우리가 그분을 그분께서 계신 그대로 볼 것이기 때문이라” (요한일서 3:2). 이것이 무엇을 뜻할까요? 그것은 우리의 육신이 주님께서 다시 오시는 순간에 영광스러워진 몸으로 변모될 것을 뜻합니다. 그러나 바로 지금, 우리는 그분의 생명과 본성을 가집니다—그분이 그러하심처럼, 또한 우리도 이 세상에서 그러합니다.
그분의 부활하심 후를 떠올려 보십시오, 문들과 창문들을 닫은 채, 그분의 제자들이 한 방에 모였습니다, 그러나 예수님께서 벽을 통과하여 그들의 한가운데로 오셨습니다. 그들은 처음에 그분이 유령이시라고 생각했습니다 그러나 그분은 그분을 만져보라고 그들에게 요청하셨고, 그분이, 유령과 달리, 살과 뼈들을 가지셨음을 강조하셨습니다.
외적으로, 우리의 신성한 본성, 인격과 정체성은 세상 사람들에게 선뜻 분명하지 않을 수도 있습니다, 그러나 차이는 없습니다. 우리는 미래에 뿐만 아니라 바로 지금 하나님께서 말씀하신 존재—하나님의 아들들—입니다!

사랑하는 아버지, 내 안에 있는 당신의 생명과 본성으로 인해 감사드립니다, 당신께서 당신의 형상으로 또 당신의 모양으로 나를 창조하셨음을 알기 때문에, 나는 나의 정체성을 축하합니다. 나는 당신의 영광, 위엄, 광채와 의의 참여자입니다. 당신의 유기체적이고 당신의 존재에 관한 속성들이 내 안에 나타나게 됨으로 인해, 감사드립니다, 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

WE ARE LIKE HIM
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
When you received Christ, you received His life and nature and became like Him. 1 John 3:1 further explicates this truth. It says, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not."
We’re His offspring, born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:12-13). Think about it, if you’re born of God, what does that make you? Divine! No wonder He said through the psalmist, “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalm 82:6).
The Lord Jesus reiterated this truth when He said, “... Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?” (John 10:34). The people of the world may not recognize us, just as they didn’t recognize Jesus when He came. But today, through divine revelation, our eyes have been opened to this truth to walk accordingly.
The Bible says “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2). What does this mean? It means our physical bodies will be transformed into glorified bodies at the Master’s return. But right now, we have His life and nature—as He is, so are we in this world.
Recall that after His resurrection, His disciples were gathered in a room, with the doors and windows shut, but Jesus came into their midst through a wall. They initially thought He was a ghost but He invited them to touch Him, emphasizing that He had flesh and bones, unlike a ghost.
Outwardly, our divine nature, personality and identity may not be readily apparent to the people of the world, but it makes no difference. We’re who God says we are—sons of God—not only for the future but right NOW!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your life and nature in me; I celebrate my identity, knowing that you created me in your image and in your likeness. I’m a partaker of your glory, majesty, splendour and righteousness. Thank you, for your organic and existential attributes are manifest in me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
