계시를 위한 지혜의 영
THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM FOR REVELATION
우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님 곧 영광의 아버지께서 지혜와 계시의 영을 너희에게 주사 그분을 알게 하시고 너희의 지각의 눈을 밝히사 그분의 부르심의 소망이 무엇이며 성도들 안에 있는 그분의 상속 유업의 영광이 얼마나 풍성하며 (에베소서 1:17-18).
위에 우리의 시작하는 성경 기록에서 밑줄 친 부분(지혜와 계시의 영)은 사도 바울이 다른 두 종류들, 즉 지혜의 영과 계시의 영을 언급하고 있는 것을 제안하는 것처럼 보입니다, 그러나 아닙니다! 그는 한 가지 동일한 것을 다루고 있습니다, 당신에게 계시—신비들의 드러남—“아포칼륍시스”(헬라어)—를 가져다 주시는 지혜의 영이십니다.
지혜의 영은 지혜 안에 있는 하나님의 영의 운용, 지혜 안에서 그분 자신을 나타내시는 하나님의 영을 가리킵니다. 그 표현에서 “그리고” 라는 단어의 사용은 적절하게 이해되어야 할 필요가 있습니다. 헬라어 표현에서, “그리고” 라고 번역된 단어는 “안에,” “함께,” 혹은 “위해”로 번역됩니다. 그러므로 그 표현의 더 나은 표현은 하나님의 정확한 지식 안에서 “계시 안에 거하시는 지혜의 영” 혹은 “계시를 위한 지혜의 영” 입니다.

THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM FOR REVELATION
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:17-18).
The underlined portion in our opening scripture above seems to suggest that the Apostle Paul was referring to two different things: the spirit of wisdom and the spirit of revelation, but no! He’s dealing with one and the same thing: the Spirit of wisdom bringing you revelation—the unveiling of mysteries—“apocalupsis” (Greek).
The Spirit of wisdom refers to the operations of the Spirit of God in wisdom, the Spirit of God manifesting Himself in wisdom. The use of theword “and” in that expression needs to be properly understood. In the Greek rendering, the word translated “and” is also translated “in,” “with,” or “for.” Therefore, a better rendering of that expression is “…the spirit of wisdom in revelation” or “the spirit of wisdom for revelation” in the exact knowledge of God.
In the Amplified Classic version, it says, “[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him” (Ephesians 1:17). This is the ministry of the Spirit of wisdom in your life: He brings you revelation—insight into mysteries and secrets.
Secondly, He brings you light (photizo—Greek); He floods your path with light. He illuminates your mind with extraordinary sagacity and amplitude of comprehension. Thirdly, He brings you counsel and direction such that life ceases to be mysterious to you.
Always acknowledge that you’re filled with the Spirit of God in wisdom and spiritual understanding; therefore you know and can discern His will. Every so often, declare, “I have insight into mysteries and secrets; I function at the highest level of excellence and in the perfect will of God, because I’m filled with the Spirit of wisdom for revelation in the deep and intimate knowledge of Christ.” Hallelujah!
