우리는 그분의 증인들입니다
WE’RE HIS WITNESSES
오직 성령님께서 너희에게 임하신 뒤에 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아에서 그리고 땅의 맨 끝 지역까지 이르러 나를 위한 증인이 되리라, 하시니라 (사도행전 1:8).
증인은 보증된 생산자, 증거를 가진 자입니다. 우리는 예수님께서 살아 계신다는 그리고 그분의 구원의 메시지가 역사하는 메시지이라는 증거를 생산합니다. 할렐루야! 고린도후서 5:19은 말씀합니다, “곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자신과 화해하게 하시며 그들의 범법을 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화해하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 맡기셨느니라.” 이것이 우리의 메시지 입니다.
예수님께서 죄에서 인류를 끌어내셔서 그들이 그분의 의를 상속받게 하려 하셨습니다. 그분은 죄, 고통과 극빈에서 우리를 끌어내셔서 우리가 생명을 풍성하기까지 갖고 형통, 건강과 안녕 가운데 살게 하려 하셨습니다. 이제 우리는 그분의 빛을 발견하도록, 그분에 관하여 배우고 그분의 의를 받아들이도록 그분을 알지 못 하는 자들을 도울 수 있습니다. 그분은 우리를 구원하셨고 다른 사람들을 구원함에 있어 우리들을 그분의 동역자들로 삼으셨습니다.
고린도후서 6:1-2은 말씀합니다, “그런즉 우리가 그분과 함께 일하는 일꾼으로서 너희에게도 간청하노니 너희는 하나님의 은혜를 헛되이 받지 말라. (그분께서 이르시되, 받아 주는 때에 내가 네 말을 들었고 구원의 날에 내가 너를 구조하였노라, 하시나니, 보라, 지금이 받아 주시는 때요, 보라, 지금이 구원의 날이로다.)” 우리는 오늘, 구원의 날에, 하나님의 은혜의 날에 살고 있습니다. 할렐루야!
우리가 이 현존하는 세상의 끝까지 다가갈 때, 우리는 신중하게 살아야 하고, 각 사람에게 강력히 경고하며 모든 지혜로 각 사람을 가르쳐야 함은 우리가 각 사람을 그리스도 예수님 안에서 완전한 자로 드리고자 함입니다 (골로새서 1:28). 그분은 모든 사람이 구원을 받고 진리의 지식에 이르기를 원하십니다 (디모데전서 2:4). 그것이 바로 그분이 구원의 복음을 전하라고 우리를 보내신 이유입니다.
마태복음 9:37-38에서, 예수님께서 그분의 제자들에게 말씀하셨습니다, “...진실로 수확할 것은 많되 일꾼들이 적으니 그러므로 너희는 수확하시는 주께 기도하여 그분께서 그분의 수확 밭에 일꾼들을 보내실 것을 청하라, 하시니라.” 우리는 마지막 때 추수를 위한, 그분의 구원하는 능력의 메시지와 함께 보냄 받은, 그분의 일꾼들입니다. 우리는 그분의 은혜의 복음의 전달자들입니다. 정말 놀라운 영예입니다!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신의 증인된 특권으로 인해, 그리고 나에게 화해의 말들—당신의 사랑과 은혜의 메시지—을 맡기심으로 인해 감사드립니다. 나는 많은 사람들에게 구원을 가져가고 그리스도 안에 있는 그들의 영광스러운 상속 유업으로 그들을 안내하는 당신의 신성한 계획에 있어 내가 동역자임을 인정합니다, 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

사도행전 4:19-20 그러나 베드로와 요한이 그들에게 응답하여 이르되, 너희 말을 듣는 것이 하나님의 말씀을 듣는 것보다 하나님의 눈앞에서 옳은지 너희가 판단하라. 우리는 우리가 보고 들은 것들을 말할 수밖에 없노라, 하니라.
마태복음 28:19-20 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족들을 가르치고 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 그들에게 침례를 주며 무엇이든지 내가 너희에게 명령한 모든 것을 그들에게 가르쳐 지키게 하라. 보라, 내가 세상의 끝까지 항상 너희와 함께 있느니라, 하시니라. 아멘.

WE’RE HIS WITNESSES
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).
A witness is a proof producer; one who has evidence. We produce evidence that Jesus is alive and that His message of salvation is a message that works. Hallelujah! 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” This is our message.
Jesus brought humanity out of sin so that they might inherit His righteousness. He brought us out of death, pain and penury so that we might have life to the full and live in prosperity, health and wellness. Now we can help those who don’t know Him to discover His light, learn about Him and receive His righteousness. He saved us and made us His partners in saving others.
2 Corinthians 6:1-2 says, “We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation)." We’re living in the day of salvation, the day of God’s grace, today. Hallelujah!
As we approach the end of this present world, we’re to live circumspectly, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus (Colossians 1:28). He wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). That’s why He sent us to preach the Good News of salvation.
In Matthew 9:37-38, Jesus said to His disciples, “...The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” We’re His labourers for the end-time harvest, sent with the message of His saving power. We’re the bearers of the Gospel of His grace. What an honour!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I’m grateful for the privilege of being your witness, and for entrusting me with the word of reconciliation—the message of your love and grace. I recognize that I am a partner in your divine plan to bring salvation to many and usher them into their glorious inheritance in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
