당신의 수고는 헛되지 않습니다
YOUR LABOUR IS NOT IN VAIN
하나님은 불의하지 아니하사 자신의 이름을 위해 너희가 보여 준 너희의 행위와 사랑의 수고 곧 너희가 성도들을 섬겨 온 것과 또 섬기고 있는 것을 잊지 아니하시느니라 (히브리서 6:10).
성경은 잠언 14:23에서 모든 수고에는 유익이 있다고 말씀합니다. 복음 때문에 당신이 행한 혹은 희생한 모든 것이 기록됩니다 (말라기 3:16), 그리고 주님께서는 그것에 대하여 당신에게 보상하십니다. 주님께서 나의 사랑의 일이나 수고를 잊으시는 데 불의하지 않으시다는 것을 그분이 나에게 보여주셨을 때 이것은 수십 년 전 나에게 엄청난 기쁨을 주었습니다.
나는 내가 먼 지역들에 복음을 전하는 것과 전도 활동을 유치하는 것에 나의 시간과 나의 삶을 낭비하고 있다고 전해졌습니다. 그러나 그 후에 나는 우리의 시작하는 구절을 보았고 기쁨으로 울었습니다. 나는 주님께 찬양드리며, 외쳤고, 주님을 경배했습니다.
당신이 주님의 일을 막 시작하려는데 모든 천사들로부터 핍박들이 있는 것처럼 보일 시기들이 있습니다. 그리고 그것은 마치 당신이 당신의 시간을 낭비하고 있고 당신의 삶을 낭비하고 있는 것 같습니다, 그러한 시기들에, 하나님께서 당신의 사랑의 일과 수고를 잊으시는 데 불의하지 않으시다는 것을 항상 기억하십시오.
그분은 복음의 선전에 있어 당신이 행하는 그리고 행해왔던 모든 것에 대해 당신에게 보상하실 것입니다. 그분은 영혼들이 구원받도록 한 당신의 모든 기도들, 복음의 전파를 위한 당신의 재정적 기여들, 영혼들을 그리스도께로 얻어오고자 한 당신의 개인적인 전도 노력들, 그리고 당신의 모든 희생들에 대해 당신에게 보상하실 것입니다.
예수님의 말씀들을 기억하십시오, “...진실로 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 나와 복음을 위하여 집이나 형제나 자매나 아버지나 어머니나 아내나 자녀나 토지를 버린 자는 지금 이 세대에서 집과 형제와 자매와 어머니와 자녀와 토지를 백 배나 받되 핍박과 함께 받고 오는 세상에서는 영원한 생명을 받으리라” (마가복음 10:29-30). 당신의 축복은 당신이 천국에 이르기까지 연기되지 않습니다, 그것은 여기 땅에서 시작합니다.
당신이 주님을 위해 하고 있는 것이 무엇이든지, 그것을 계속 하십시오. 그분의 말씀을 계속 퍼트리십시오. 그분의 의를 계속 퍼트리십시오. 그분의 영광으로 당신의 세상에 계속 영향을 주십시오. 계속 굳게 서서, 흔들리지 말고, 항상 주의 일을 넘치게 하십시오, 주님 안에서 당신의 수고가 헛되지 않은 줄 여러분이 알기 때문입니다 (고린도전서 15:58).
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나의 수고와 희생이 왕국에서 또 왕국을 위해 헛되지 않음을 알기에 나의 심령은 기쁨으로 충만합니다! 예수님의 이름으로 나의 수고에 큰 보상이 있음을 알기 때문에, 나는 계속 굳게 서서, 흔들리지 않고, 항상 주님의 일에 있어 풍성합니다, 아멘.

YOUR LABOUR IS NOT IN VAIN
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister (Hebrews 6:10).
The Bible says in Proverbs 14:23 that there’s profit in all labour. Everything you do or sacrifice for the sake of the Gospel is recorded (Malachi 3:16), and the Lord also rewards you for it. This gave me immense joy decades ago when the Lord showed me that He’s not unrighteous to forget my work or labour of love.
I had been told I was wasting my time and my life for preaching the Gospel and holding crusades in remote villages. But then I saw our opening verse and wept for joy. I praised, screamed, and worshipped the Lord.
There’re times you’re about the Lord’s work and there seem to be persecutions from all angles. And it’s as though you’re wasting your time and wasting your life; at such times, always remember that God isn’t unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love.
He’ll reward you for all that you do and have done in the propagation of the Gospel. He'll reward you for all your prayers for souls to be saved, your financial contributions to the spread of the Gospel, your personal evangelical efforts to win souls to Christ, and all your sacrifices.
Remember the words of Jesus: "…Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life" (Mark 10:29-30). Your blessing isn't deferred until you get to heaven; it begins here on earth.
Whatever you’re doing for the Lord, keep at it. Keep spreading His Word. Keep spreading His righteousness. Keep impacting your world with His glory. Remain steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
PRAYER
Dear Father, my heart is filled with joy to know that my labour and sacrifices in and for the Kingdom are not in vain! I remain steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that there’s a great reward for my labour in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
