진리를 말하십시오
SPEAK THE TRUTH
이것은 우리가 이제부터 더 이상 아이가 되지 아니하여 사람들의 속임수와 몰래 숨어서 속이려 하는 자들이 사용하는 간교한 술수로 말미암아 교리의 모든 바람에 이리저리 흔들려 밀려다지니 아니하고 오직 사랑 안에서 진리를 말하며 모든 일에서 그분 안에 이르도록 성장하게 하려 함이라. 그분은 머리시니 곧 그리스도시니라 (에베소서 4:14-15).
잠언 19:9은 말씀합니다, “...거짓말하는 자는 망하리라.” 그리스도인은 거짓들을 말해서는 안 됩니다. 골로새서 3:9은, “서로 거짓말하지 말라. 너희는 옛 사람과 그의 행위를 벗어 버리고” 라고 말씀합니다. 거짓들을 말하는 것은 그리스도 안에서 새로운 창조물로서 당신의 본성과 일치하지 않습니다. 당신은 진리의 남자 혹은 여자입니다, 왜냐하면 당신은 진리의 후손이기 때문입니다, “그분께서 자신의 뜻에 따라 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 낳으셨으니...” (야고보서 1:18).
거짓말하는 것은 사탄의 가장 중요한 속성들 중 하나입니다. 요한복음 8:44에서, 주 예수님께서, “...그는 처음부터 살인자요 자기 속에 진리가 없으므로 진리 안에 거하지 아니하고 거짓말을 할 때에 자기의 것으로 말하나니 이는 그가 거짓말쟁이요 거짓의 아비이기 때문이라” 고 말씀하셨을 때 그분은 사탄을 적절하게 묘사하셨습니다.
하나님의 말씀은 진리입니다 (요한복음 17:17). 그리고 성령님께서는 진리의 영이라고 불리십니다 (요한복음 16:13).
자, 거짓말쟁이는 단지 거짓을 말했던 누군가가 아니라 거짓을 사랑하고 지어내는 자입니다, 그는 거짓들을 만들어냅니다 (요한계시록 22:15), 그는 그의 거짓들을 계획하거나 꼼꼼히 생각해 냅니다. 그는 그가 하고 있는 것이 잘못된 것인 줄 압니다 그러나 이기적인 이유들 때문에 계속 앞장서 그것을 행합니다.

성경은, “...하나님을 따라 의와 참된 거룩함으로 창조된 새 사람을 입을 것을 가르침을 받았으니” (에베소서 4:24) 라고 말씀합니다. 당신이 그리스도 안에 있기 때문에, 당신은 새로운 사람을 입었습니다, 당신은 하나님의 본성을 가졌습니다. 그에 합당하게 행하십시오. 항상 진리를 말하십시오.

사랑하는 아버지, 진리 가운데 걷도록 나를 인도하시고 안내하시는 성령님으로 인해 감사드립니다. 그리스도 안에 있는 나의 새로운 생명으로 인해 감사드립니다, 내가 그리스도 안에서 나의 새로운 생명과 본성의 영광 가운데 걸을 때 나를 성령님의 자유 안으로 옮겨주셔서 감사드립니다, 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SPEAK THE TRUTH
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: (Ephesians 4:14-15).
Proverbs 19:9 says, “…he that speaketh lies shall perish.” A Christian shouldn’t tell lies. Colossians 3:9 says, “Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.” Telling lies is inconsistent with your nature as a new creation in Christ. You’re a man or woman of truth, because you’re the offspring of Truth: “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth…” (James 1:18).
Lying is one of the cardinal attributes of Satan. In John 8:44, the Lord Jesus aptly described Satan when He said, “…He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
The Word of God is truth (John 17:17). And the Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13).
Now, a liar isn’t merely someone who told a lie but one who loves and makes a lie; he constructs lies (Revelation 22:15); he plans or strategizes his lies. He knows what he is doing is wrong but still goes ahead to do it for selfish reasons.
A liar is also one who speaks contrary to God’s Word. As long as a man’s confessions are inconsistent with God’s Word, they’re lies. 1 Peter 3:10 reveals something instructive; it says, “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.” To speak guile is to speak in antithesis to the Word.
The Bible says, “…put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness” (Ephesians 4:24). Now that you’re in Christ, you’ve put on the new man; you have the God-nature. Act accordingly. Speak the truth always.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the Holy Spirit who leads and guides me to walk in truth. Thank you for my new life in Christ; thank you for bringing me into the liberty of the Spirit as I walk in the glory of my new life and nature in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
