모두를 향한 그분의 선하신 뜻
HIS GOODWILL TOWARD ALL
바로 그 지역에서 목자들이 들에 거하며 밤에 자기 양 떼를 지키더라 (누가복음 2:8).
누가복음 2:8-14은 베들레헴 근처 들판들에 있는 목자들을 향한 천사의 소식에 관한 놀랄 만한 이야기를 제공합니다. 목자들이 밤에 자신의 양 떼들을 계속 지켜보고 있을 때, 주님의 천사들이 갑자기 그들 앞에 나타났고, 주님의 영광이 그들 주변에서 빛났고, 경외감과 경건한 두려움으로 가득했습니다.
천사들은 목자들을 안심시키며, “두려워 말라” 고 말했고, 모든 사람들을 향한 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식들을 나아가 전했습니다. 천사는 다윗의 도시에서 구원자의 탄생을 선언했습니다, 그분은 그리스도 주이셨습니다.
더 나아가, 천사는 새로 태어나신 구원자를 찾을 표시를 목자들에게 주었습니다. 그들은 포대기에 싸여 구유에 놓인 아기를 찾으려고 했습니다. 갑자기, 하늘들이 무수한 천사들로 가득했고, 하나님을 찬양하며, “가장 높은 곳에서는 하나님께 영광이요, 땅에서는 평화와 사람들을 향한 선하신 뜻이로다, 하니라” (누가복음 2:14) 고 선언했습니다. 얼마나 놀라운 발표인지요!
모든 사람들을 향한 그분의 선하신 뜻은 그 이후로 멈추지 않았습니다. 이것이 우리의 복음입니다! 이것이 바로 크리스마스에 관한 것입니다! 성경은 말씀합니다, “곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자신과 화해하게 하시며 그들의 범법을 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화해하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 맡기셨느니라” (고린도후서 5:19).
하나님께서는 오늘 선하신 뜻으로 모든 나라들을 살펴보고 계십니다. 예수 그리스도께서는 하나님의 사랑의 메시지이셨습니다, 그분은 세상을 향한 하나님의 사랑의 편지이셨습니다. 예수님께서 오셨을 때, 그분은 하나님의 뜻과 본성의 표현이셨습니다, 그분은 아버지의 의의 표현이셨습니다! 그분은 하나님의 사랑의 나타남이셨습니다.
자, 그 모든 것 중 가장 최고는 그분이 우리를 그분의 뜻과 본성의 표현으로 만드셨다는 것입니다. 고린도후서 5:21은 선언합니다, “하나님께서 죄를 알지 못한 그분을 우리를 위하여 죄가 되게 하신 것은 우리가 그분 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라.” 그리스도 안에서, 우리는 하나님의 의가 되었습니다. 당신 삶의 날마다, 당신은 아버지의 심령의 나타남입니다. 다시 말해서, 당신은 아버지의 심령과 그분의 뜻의 계시입니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 모든 사람들을 향한 당신의 사랑, 은혜와 선하신 뜻에 감사드립니다, 우리는 당신의 선하심과 긍휼의 유익을 취하여 당신의 진리의 말씀을 전파하고 그렇게 함으로써 사람들을 그리스도 안에 있는 영광스러운 삶, 평안, 축복들과 의로 데려옵니다, 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

베드로후서 3:9 주께서는 자신의 약속에 대해 어떤 사람들이 더디다고 생각하는 것 같이 더디지 아니하시며 오직 우리를 향하여 오래 참으사 아무도 멸망하지 아니하고 모두 회개에 이르기를 원하시느니라.
로마서 5:8-9 우리가 아직 죄인이었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위해 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리를 향한 자신의 사랑을 당당히 제시하시느니라. 그러면 이제 우리가 그분의 피로 말미암아 의롭게 되었은즉 더욱더 그분을 통해 진노로부터 구원을 받으리니
요한일서 4:9-10 하나님께서 자신의 독생자를 세상에 보내사 우리가 그분을 통해 살게 하셨은즉 이것 안에서 하나님의 사랑이 우리를 향해 나타났느니라. 우리가 하나님을 사랑하지 아니하였으나 그분께서 우리를 사랑하시고 자신의 아들을 보내사 우리의 죄들로 인한 화해 헌물로 삼으셨나니 여기에 사랑이 있느니라.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night (Luke 2:8).
Luke 2:8-14 provides a remarkable account of the angelic announcement to the shepherds in the fields near Bethlehem. As the shepherds were keeping watch over their flock by night, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, filling them with awe and reverential fear.
The angel reassured the shepherds, saying, "Fear not" and went ahead to deliver the good tidings of great joy that would be for all people. The angel proclaimed the birth of a Savior in the city of David, who is Christ the Lord.
Furthermore, the angel gave the shepherds a sign to find the new-born Saviour. They would find the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. Suddenly, the heavens were filled with a multitude of angels, praising God and declaring, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men" (Luke 2:14). What an announcement!
His goodwill toward all men hasn’t stopped since then. This is our Gospel! This is what Christmas is about! The Bible says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:19).
God is looking at all nations today with goodwill. Jesus Christ was God’s love message; He was God’s love letter to the world. When Jesus came, He was the expression of the will and nature of God; He was the expression of the Father’s righteousness! He was the manifestation of God’s love.
Now, the most sublime of it all is that He made us the expression of His will and nature. 2 Corinthians 5:21 declares, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” In Christ, we are made the righteousness of God. Every day of your life, you’re the unfolding of the Father's heart. In other words, you are the revelation of the Father's heart and of His will.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your love, grace and goodwill towards all men; we take advantage of your goodness and mercy to spread your Word of truth and thereby bring men into the glorious life, peace, blessings and righteousness in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
