그분의 영광을 위해 창조되었습니다
CREATED FOR HIS GLORY
우리를 부르사 영광과 덕에 이르게 하신 분을 아는 것을 통해 그분의 신성한 권능이 생명과 하나님의 성품에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨도다 (베드로후서 1:3).
우리의 주제 구절에 있는 우리의 밑줄 친 부분(우리를 부르사 영광과 덕에 이르게)에 주목하십시오, 하나님께서는 우리를 부르사 영광과 덕에 이르게 하셨습니다. 덕은 탁월함을 뜻합니다. 그분은 당신을 영광과 탁월함의 삶으로 데려오셨습니다. 그분이 당신에게 주신 그 삶을 누리고자 당신이 행해야 하는 전부는 그분의 말씀 안에서 사는 것입니다! 그것이 그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 상속 유업 안에서 사는 또 충만하기까지 생명을 누리는 비결입니다.
주님께서 당신에게 주지 않으신 것이나 당신을 위해 아직 행하지 않으신 것은 없습니다. 에베소서 1:3은, “하나님 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지를 찬송하리로다. 그분께서 그리스도 안에서 하늘의 처소들에 있는 모든 영적인 복으로 우리에게 복을 주셨으니” 라고 말씀합니다. 그분은 당신이 이제껏 상상할 수 있었던 모든 축복을 당신에게 이미 허락하셨습니다. 이것은 우리가 우리의 시작하는 구절에서 읽은 것과 궤를 같이 합니다.
그러므로, 당신의 삶은, 날마다, 모든 곳에서 또 항상 주님을 향한 찬양, 영광과 감사드림의 삶이어야 합니다. 그분은 당신에게 초월적인 생명, 당신을 사탄, 어두움, 질병, 아픔, 실패, 패배와 죽음보다 우세하게 만드는 이기는 생명, 이 세상을 초월하는 생명을 주셨습니다!
이 특출난 생명은, 의와 마찬가지로, 복음을 통해 그리스도 안에서 당신에게 전달되었습니다. 우리를 위한 그분의 대신하신 희생은 영광의 삶으로 우리를 안내했습니다. 성경은 옛 대언자들이 그리스도의 고난들과 뒤따를 영광에 관하여 증언했다 (베드로전서 1:11)고 우리에게 이야기합니다.
그리스도께서는 고통당하셨고 그래서 당신이 영광 안에서 살도록 하셨습니다. 당신은 지금 그 영광 안에 있습니다. 하나님을 송축합니다! 만약, 예를 들어, 당신이 당신의 육신에 문제들이 있다면, 그것이 무엇인지에 상관없이, 그것에 맞서 말씀을 사용하십시오. 당신이 항상 그리고 모든 곳에서 승리를 거두고 있음을 선포하십시오. 할렐루야!
고백

골로새서 1:27 하나님께서는 이방인들 가운데서 이 신비의 영광의 풍성함이 무엇인지 자신의 성도들에게 알리려 하시는데 이 신비는 너희 안에 계신 그리스도 곧 영광의 소망이시니라.

CREATED FOR HIS GLORY
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).
Notice our underlined part in our theme verse; God has called us to glory and virtue. Virtue means excellence. He’s brought you into a life of glory and excellence. All you have to do to enjoy the life He's given you is to live in His Word! That’s the key to living in your inheritance in Christ and enjoying life to the full.
There’s nothing the Lord hasn’t given you or done for you already. Ephesians 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” He has already granted you every blessing you could ever imagine. This is in sync with what we read in our opening verse.
Your life, therefore, should be one of praise, glory and thanksgiving to the Lord every day, everywhere and at all times. He’s given you the transcendent life; the overcoming life that makes you superior to Satan, darkness, disease, sickness, failure, defeat and death; life that’s beyond this world!
This extraordinary life, along with righteousness, was delivered to you in Christ through the Gospel. His vicarious sacrifice in our behalf ushered us into the glory-life. The Bible tells us that the prophets of old testified of the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:11).
Christ suffered so that you would live in the glory. You’re in that glory now. Blessed be God! If, for example, you’ve had problems in your physical body, regardless of what it is, use the Word against it. Declare that you’re triumphant always and in every place. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you for the life of Christ in my spirit that’s made me one with you and brought perfection and excellence into my life. My life is for your glory and I function by the dominion of the Spirit today, in Jesus Name. Amen.
