예수 그리스도—하나님의 윤곽
JESUS CHRIST—THE PROFILE OF GOD
...나를 본 자는 아버지를 보았거늘 어찌 네가 말하기를, 우리에게 아버지를 보여 주소서, 하느냐? (요한복음 14:9).
위의 진술은, 주님의 제자들에게 아버지를 보여 달라고 주님께 요청했던 그분의 제자들 중 하나, 빌립에 대한 그분의 응답의 일부로써 바로 그분의 입술에서 나왔습니다. 예수님께서는 돌려 말씀하지 않으셨습니다, 그분이 말씀하셨습니다, “만약 너희가 나를 보았다면, 너희는 아버지를 보았느니라.” 다시 말해서, “나는 아버지의 윤곽이니라.”
성경은 우리에게 예수님께서 보이지 아니하시는 하나님의 형상 (성상) (고린도후서 4:4, 골로새서 1:15) 이라고 말씀합니다. 그것은 그분이 하나님의 초상과 시각적 표상, 하나님의 윤곽이심을 뜻합니다. 만약 당신이 하나님께서 무엇처럼 보이시는지를 알기 원한다면, 예수님께서 그 윤곽이십니다, 그분은 신성의 모든 특징들, 묘사들과 속성들을 가지십니다.
이것은 예수님께서 하나님의 영광의 광채시요 그분 자체의 “정확한 형상”이시라고 말씀하는 히브리서 1:3에서 우리가 발견하는 것과 유사합니다. 여기, “카라크테르” (헬라어)는 정확한 형상이라고 사용됩니다, 그리고 그것은 복사 혹은 복제본을 뜻합니다. 예수님께서는 하나님의 복사 혹은 복제본이십니다. 이것은 놀랄 만합니다!
성경은 예수님 안에 하나님의 신격의 모든 충만이 몸으로 거하신다 (골로새서 2:9)고 말씀합니다. 그분(예수님) 안에 모든 충만이 거하는 것을 아버지께서 기뻐하셨습니다 (골로새서 1:19). 그분이 요한복음 10:30에서, “나와 내 아버지는 하나이니라” 고 말씀하셨던 것은 놀랄 일이 아닙니다.
당신이 예수님을 볼 때, 당신은 아버지와 성령님을 찾을 필요가 없을 것입니다. 예수님께서는 하나님의 신격의 완전한 모습이요 복제품이십니다. 그분은 하나님의 영광, 명예와 위엄의 표현이십니다. 영원토록 그분의 이름을 송축합니다!

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 예수 그리스도—당신의 신성의 본질의 “복제본”—당신의 성품과 본성의 명백하고 틀림없는 표현—안에서 밝혀진 대로 당신의 영광, 명예와 위엄을 경외합니다. 주 예수님, 당신께서는 신성의 아름다움이시요 아버지 자체의 완전한 표현이십니다. 나는 당신을 영원히 경배하고 경모합니다. 아멘.

골로새서 1:12-19 우리를 빛 가운데서 성도들의 상속 유업에 참여하는 자가 되기에 합당하게 하신 아버지께 감사드리기를 원하였노라. 그분께서 우리를 어둠의 권능에서 건져 내사 자신의 사랑하는 아들의 왕국으로 옮기셨으니 그분 안에서 우리가 그분의 피를 통해 구속 곧 죄들의 용서를 받았도다. 그분께서는 보이지 아니하는 하나님의 형상이시요 모든 창조물의 처음 난 자이시니 이는 그분에 의해 모든 것이 창조되었기 때문이라. 하늘에 있는 것들 것 땅에 있는 것들, 보이는 것들과 보이지 아니하는 것들 곧 왕좌들이나 통치들이나 정사들이나 권능들이나 모든 것이 그분에 의해 창조되고 그분을 위하여 창조되었노라. 또 그분께서는 모든 것보다 먼저 계시고 모든 것은 그분으로 말미암아 존재하느니라. 그분께서는 몸 곧 교회의 머리시니라. 그분께서 시작이시요 죽은 자들로부터 처음 난 자이시니 이것은 그분께서 모든 것에서 으뜸이 되려 하심이라. 아버지께서는 그분 안에 모든 충만이 거하는 것을 기뻐하시고
히브리서 1:1-3 지나간 때에는 여러 시대에 다양한 방식으로 대언자들을 통하여 조상들에게 말씀하신 하나님께서 이 마지막 날들에는 자신의 아들을 통하여 우리에게 말씀하셨으며 그분을 모든 것의 상속자로 정하시고 또 그분으로 말미암아 세상들을 만드셨느니라. 하나님의 영광의 광채시요 그분 자체의 정확한 형상이시며 자신의 권능의 말씀으로 모든 것을 떠받치시는 이 아들께서는 친히 우리의 죄들을 정결하게 하신 뒤에 높은 곳에 계신 존엄하신 분의 오른편에 앉으셨느니라.
요한복음 10:30-38 나와 내 아버지는 하나이니라, 하시니라. 이에 유대인들이 돌을 집어 다시 그분을 치려 하거늘 예수님께서 그들에게 응답하시되, 내가 내 아버지로부터 나온 많은 선한 일을 너희에게 보였거늘 그 일들 중의 어떤 일 때문에 너희가 나를 돌로 치려 하느냐? 하시매 유대인들이 그분께 대답하여 이르되, 우리가 너를 돌로 치려 하는 것은 선한 일 때문이 아니요 신성모독 때문이니 곧 사람인 네가 네 자신을 하나님으로 만들기 때문이니라, 하매 예수님께서 그들에게 응답하시되, 너희 율법에, 내가 말하기를, 너희는 신들이라, 하였노라, 하고 기록되지 아니하였느냐? 하나님의 말씀이 임한 자들을 그분께서 신들이라 하셨으며 또 성경 기록은 깨뜨리지 못할진대 아버지께서 거룩히 구별하사 세상에 보내신 자인 내가, 나는 하나님의 아들이라, 하였으므로 너희가 그에게, 네가 신성모독한다, 하느냐? 내가 만일 내 아버지의 일들을 행하지 아니하거든 나를 믿지 말려니와 내가 행하거든 너희가 나를 믿지 아니할지라도 그 일들은 믿으라. 그러면 아버지께서 내 안에 계시고 내가 그분 안에 있음을 너희가 알고 믿으리라, 하시니라.

JESUS CHRIST—THE PROFILE OF GOD
…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? (John 14:9).
The statement above came right out of the lips of the Master as part of His response to Philip, one of His disciples who asked Him to show them the Father. Jesus minced no words; He said, “If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father.” In other words, “I’m the profile of the Father.”
The Bible tells us that Jesus is the image (icon) of the invisible God (2 Corinthians 4:4, Colossians 1:15). That means He’s the resemblance and visual representation of God, the profile of God. If you want to know what God looks like, Jesus is the profile; He has all the characteristics, descriptions and attributes of Deity.
This is akin to what we find in Hebrews 1:3 that says Jesus is the brightness of God’s glory and the “express image” of His person. Here, “charakter” (Greek) is used for express image; and it means the facsimile or print copy. Jesus is the facsimile or print copy of God. This is amazing!
The Bible says in Jesus dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9). It pleased the Father that in Him (Jesus) should all fullness dwell (Colossians 1:19). No wonder He said in John 10:30, “I and my Father are one.”
When you see Jesus, you won’t need to look for the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the perfect appearance and replica of the Godhead. He’s the expression of God’s glory, honour and majesty. Blessed be His Name forever!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I’m in awe of your glory, honour and majesty as revealed in Jesus Christ—the “print copy” of your divine essence—the clear and unmistakable representation of your character and nature. Lord Jesus, you’re the beauty of divinity and the perfect expression of the Father’s person. I worship and adore you forever. Amen.
