미지근한 것을 거절하십시오
REFUSE TO BE LUKEWARM
그런즉 네가 이같이 미지근하여 차지도 아니하고 뜨겁지도 아니하므로 내가 내 입에서 너를 토하여 내리니 (요한계시록 3:16).
아주 많은 사람들이 죄인들에게 전파하고자 우리의 시작하는 구절을 사용합니다, 그러나 그것은 전혀 죄인들에 관하여 말씀하고 있지 않습니다. 주 예수님께서는 미지근해지거나 냉담해지거나, 무익해지거나 비효율적이 된 그리스도인들에게 이야기 하고 계셨습니다. 이러한 사람들이 라오디게아에 있는 교회에 있었습니다, 그들은 주님께서 요한계시록 3:14-21에서 말씀하고 계셨던 자들이었기 때문입니다.
미지근한 그리스도인은 무익한 종입니다. 마태복음 25장에서, 예수님께서 그의 주인이 그에게 맡긴 돈인 달란트로 아무 것도 하지 않았고 무익하다고 묘사되었던 종에 관한 비유를 이야기 하셨습니다.
예수님께서, “하늘의 왕국은 마치...어떤 사람과 같으니라” (마태복음 25:14) 고 말씀하심으로써 비유를 시작하셨습니다. 30절까지 전체 비유를 읽어보십시오 그러면 당신은 그분이 언급하고 계셨던 무익한 종이 하늘 왕국의 지체였음을 발견할 것입니다. 그는 그에게 주어진 달란트로 결과들을 생산하지 않았기 때문에 그분은 무익한 종이라고 일컬으셨습니다.
30절은 또한 무익한 종의 운명을 우리에게 보여줍니다. 주님께서 말씀하셨습니다, “너희는 이 무익한 종을 바깥 어둠 속에 내던지라. 거기서 슬피 울며 이를 갊이 있으리라, 하니라.” 미지근한 그리스도인이 가진 유일한 소망은 회개하는 것입니다, “내가 사랑하는 자들을 다 책망하고 징계하노니 그런즉 열심을 내고 회개하라” (요한계시록 3:19).
만약 당신이 미지근했다면, 당신은 긴급하게 회개할 필요가 있습니다 왜냐하면 성령님께서 하나님을 위해 당신을 활발하게 만드시려고 당신의 삶에 오셨기 때문입니다, 그분은 섬김을 위해 당신에게 영향을 주시려고 오셨습니다. 그분은 당신을 열매가 잘 열리고, 유익하고, 효력있고 효과적이게 만드시려고 오셨습니다. 하나님께 영광 돌립니다!
기도
나는 불타는 또 밝게 빛나는 빛이 되고자, 왕국에서 효과적이고, 효력있고 유익하고자, 성령님의 인도하심에 나 자신을 완전히 내어드립니다. 나는 주님을 섬김에 있어, 영혼들을 이겨오고 복음을 전파하는 데 있어, 영원히 환히 빛나고, 빛을 내고, 열렬하고 활발합니다. 항상 열매를 잘 맺고 생산적이도록 나를 나아가게 하시고 안내하시는 당신의 영으로 인해 주님 당신께 감사드립니다, 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

REFUSE TO BE LUKEWARM
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth (Revelation 3:16).
A lot of people use our opening verse to preach to sinners, but it’s not talking about sinners at all. The Lord Jesus was talking to Christians who had become tepid or unenthusiastic, unprofitable and ineffective. These were in the church at Laodicea, for they were the ones the Lord was addressing in Revelation 3:14-21.
A Christian who is lukewarm is an unprofitable servant. In Matthew 25, Jesus told a parable about a servant who did nothing with the talent of money his master entrusted to him and was described as unprofitable.
Jesus began the parable by saying, “For the kingdom of heaven is as a man…” (Matthew 25:14). Read the entire parable up to the 30th verse and you’d observe that the unprofitable servant He was referring to was a member of the Kingdom of Heaven. He’s termed the unprofitable servant because he didn’t produce results with the talent given to him.
The 30th verse also shows us the fate of the unprofitable servant. The Master said, “…cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” The only hope a lukewarm Christian has is to repent: “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent” (Revelation 3:19).
If you’ve been lukewarm, you need to repent urgently because the Holy Spirit came into your life to make you active for God; He came to impact you for service. He came to make you fruitful, profitable, efficient and effective. Glory to God!
PRAYER
I yield myself fully to the leading of the Holy Spirit, to be a burning and a shining light; effective, efficient and profitable in the Kingdom. I’m forever aglow, radiant, fervent and active in serving the Lord, winning souls and spreading the Gospel. Thank you Lord for your Spirit that propels and guides me to be ever fruitful and productive, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
