영적으로 생각하고 기민하십시오
BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED AND ALERT
육신적으로 생각하는 것은 사망이요 영적으로 생각하는 것은 생명과 평안이니라 (로마서 8:6).
그리스도인들로서, 우리는 반드시 항상 영적으로 생각해야 하고 기민해야 합니다 왜냐하면 우리는, 영적 전쟁에 참여하고 있는, 하나님의 군대에 있는 군사들이기 때문입니다. 에베소서 6:12은 말씀합니다, “우리는 살과 피와 맞붙어 싸우지 아니하고 정사들과 권능들과 이 세상 어둠의 치리자들과 높은 처소들에 있는 영적 사악함과 맞붙어 싸우느니라.”
다음으로 고린도후서 10:4은 우리에게 이 계속 진행 중인 전쟁에서 우리의 무기들에 관하여 말씀합니다, “우리의 전쟁 무기는 육신에 속하지 아니하고 하나님을 통해 강한 요새들도 무너뜨리는 강력이라.” 전쟁은 항상 진행 중이라 하더라도, 우리는 각각의 전투가 발생할 때를 정확하게 전해 듣지 못 합니다, 그러나 하나님께서는 우리가 항상 준비되어 있기를 원하십니다. 그분은 우리에게 “...악한 날...”에 관하여 말씀하십니다 (에베소서 6:13).
“악한 날”은 전투의 날들을 의미합니다. 전투는 전쟁의 실제 싸움입니다. 이런 이유로, 우리는 영적으로 생각함으로써 반드시 전투에 대비되어 있어야 하며, 성령님에 대하여 몹시 민감해야 하고 그분의 신호들에 맞추어져 있어야 합니다. 우리에게는 우리가 당면한 대적자—사탄—가 있습니다. 그는 그냥 잠이나 자러 가지 않습니다.
베드로전서 5:8-9은 말씀합니다, “정신을 차리라. 깨어 있으라. 너희 대적 마귀가 울부짖는 사자같이 두루 다니며 삼킬 자를 찾나니 믿음에 굳게 서서 그를 대적하라....” 에베소서 6:10-11은 말씀합니다, “...주 안에서와 그분의 강력한 권능 안에서 강건한 자가 되라. 너희가 마귀의 간계들을 능히 대적하며 서기 위해 하나님의 전신갑주를 입으라.”

BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED AND ALERT
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Romans 8:6).
As Christians, we must be spiritually minded and alert at all times because we’re soldiers in God’s army, engaged in spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Then 2 Corinthians 10:4 tells us about our weapons in this ongoing warfare: “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.” Although the war is always on, we’re not told exactly when each battle will occur, but God wants us prepared all the time. He tells us about the "... evil day..." (Ephesians 6:13).
The “evil day” signifies battle days. A battle is the actual fight of a war. Hence, we must be battle-ready by being spiritually minded, being acutely sensitive to the Spirit and attuned to His signals. We have an adversary that we’re up against—Satan. He doesn’t just go to sleep.
1 Peter 5:8-9 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Whom resist stedfast in the faith….” Ephesians 6:10-11 says, “…be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
You have dominion and authority over principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Use the spiritual weapons listed in Ephesians 6:14-18 to frustrate their stratagems and wiles, and foil all their evil works. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, my mind and affections are set on the Lord and things pertaining to Christ, His Gospel and eternal Kingdom. I live in the Word and walk in the full consciousness of the spiritual Kingdom to which I belong. I’m guided by the Word, and I maintain my dominion over Satan and the principalities of darkness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
