그분은 우리에게 모든 것을 주셨습니다
HE GAVE US EVERYTHING
우리의 생명이신 그리스도께서 나타나실 때에 그때에 너희도 그분과 함께 영광 가운데 나타나리라 (골로새서 3:4).
요한복음 5:26에서, 예수님께서, “아버지께서 자기 속에 생명이 있는 것 같이 아들에게도 주사 그 속에 생명이 있게 하셨고” 라고 말씀하셨습니다, 이는 예수님께서 내재된 생명, 바로 그 신성한 본성을 가지셨음을 뜻합니다. 그분이 말씀하셨습니다, “나는 아버지께서 내 안에 계시고 내가 그분 안에 있다는 것을 너희가 알고 믿기를 원하노라” (요한복음 10:38). 이것은 그야말로 비범합니다.
이것이 바로 하나님께서 우리에게 원하시는 것입니다, 이것이 사람을 창조하신 것에 대한 그분의 목적이었습니다, 그래서 그분은 사람 안에 계시고 사람은 그분 안에 있을 것이었습니다, 그래서 당신은 특별한 존재—하나님의 복제나 반영—가 되었을 것입니다. 할렐루야!
당신이 그리스도를 영접하고 그분과 결합되었을 때, 당신은 그분과 하나가 되었습니다. 성경은 말씀합니다, “그러나 주와 결합하는 자는 한 영이니라” (고린도전서 6:17). 그리스도와 이 하나됨은 당신을 초자연적으로 만듭니다 왜냐하면 그분의 신성한 생명은 당신이 당신의 생물학적 부모님들로부터 받아 가지고 태어난 사람의 생명을 대체했기 때문입니다.
당신이 거듭났기 때문에, 당신이 가지는 것은 그리스도의 생명입니다. 이런 이유로 우리의 주제 구절은 그리스도께서 당신의 생명이시라고 말씀합니다. 다음으로 요한일서 5:11-12 (새 국제 역본 NIV)은 말씀합니다, “또 이것이 증거이니라. 하나님께서 우리에게 영원한 생명을 주셨느니라, 그리고 이 생명은 그분의 아들 안에 있느니라. 아들을 가진 사람은 누구나 생명을 갖고 있느니라. 하나님의 아들을 갖지 않은 사람은 누구나 생명을 갖고 있지 않느니라.” 하나님을 송축합니다!
사도 요한이 위 구절에서 언급하고 있는 것은 영원한 생명입니다. 예수님, 하나님의 아들을 가진 누구든지, 영원한 생명을 가집니다. 그러나 다음으로, 영원한 생명을 당신에게 주시는 것에 있어, 그분은 실제로 그분 자신을 당신에게 주셨습니다 왜냐하면 그분은 그분 자체로 영원한 생명이시기 때문입니다, “또 하나님의 아들이 오셔서 우리에게 깨달음을 주사 우리가 진실하신 분을 알게 하셨음을 우리가 알며 또 우리가 진실하신 분 곧 그분의 아들 예수 그리스도 안에 있음을 아노니 이분은 참 하나님이시요 영원한 생명이시니라” (요한일서 5:20). 할렐루야!
이것이 복음입니다! 예수님께서는 그분이신 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨습니다! 그분은 그분의 이름을 우리에게 주셨습니다, 그분은 그분의 의를 우리에게 주셨습니다, 그리고 그분은 그분의 생명을 우리에게 주셨습니다. 성경은 우리가 그분과 함께하는 공동 상속자들 (로마서 8:17)이라고, 그분이 그러하심처럼 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하다 (요한일서 4:17)고 말씀합니다.
고백
주 예수님 모든 것을 나에게 주셔서 감사드립니다! 당신께서는 당신의 이름, 당신의 의와, 당신의 생명을 나에게 주셨습니다. 지금 나는 하나님류와 동류이며, 하나님의 상속자요 당신과 함께하는 공동 상속자입니다, 당신께서 그러하심처럼, 나도 이 세상에서 그러합니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

골로새서 1:26-27 이것은 곧 여러 시대와 여러 세대로부터 감추어졌으나 이제는 그분의 성도들에게 드러난 신비에 관한 것이라. 하나님께서는 이방인들 가운데서 이 신비의 영광의 풍성함이 무엇인지 자신의 성도들에게 알리려 하시는데 이 신비는 너희 안에 계신 그리스도 곧 영광의 소망이시니라.
요한일서 5:11-13 또 그 증언은 이것이니 곧 하나님께서 우리에게 영원한 생명을 주신 것과 이 생명이 그분의 아들 안에 있다는 것이니라. 아들이 있는 자에게는 생명이 있고 하나님의 아들이 없는 자에게는 생명이 없느니라. 내가 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿는 너희에게 이것들을 쓴 것은 너희에게 영원한 생명이 있음을 너희가 알게 하고 또 하나님의 아들의 이름을 너희가 믿게 하려 함이라.

HE GAVE US EVERYTHING
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory (Colossians 3:4).
In John 5:26, Jesus said, “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself,” meaning that Jesus had the inherent life: the very divine nature. He said, “I want you to know and believe that the Father is in me and I in Him” (John 10:38). This is simply extraordinary.
This is the very thing that God wants for us; this was His purpose for creating man, so that He’d be in man and man would be in Him, so you’d become a super being—the facsimile or reflection of God. Hallelujah!
When you receive Christ and are joined to Him, you become one with Him. The Bible says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). This oneness with Christ makes you supernatural because His divine life supplanted the human life with which you were born of your biological parents.
Now that you’re born again, what you have is the Christ-life. Hence our theme verse says Christ is your life. Then 1 John 5:11-12 (NIV) says, “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” Blessed be God!
What the Apostle John is referring to in the verses above is eternal life. Anyone who has Jesus, the Son of God, has eternal life. But then, in giving you eternal life, He actually gave you Himself because He is Himself eternal life: “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life” (1 John 5:20). Hallelujah!
This is the Gospel! Jesus gave us EVERYTHING that He is! He gave us His Name, He gave us His righteousness, and He gave us His life. The Bible says we’re joint-heirs with Him (Romans 8:17); as He is so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
CONFESSION
Thank you Lord Jesus for giving me EVERYTHING! You gave me your Name, your righteousness, and your life. Now I’m an associate of the God-kind, an heir of God and a joint-heir with you; as you are, so am I in this world. Blessed be God!
